Storrington Primary School won the STARS primary schools year 3+4 festival staged at West Chiltington School recently and officiated by HDSD staff. They progressed from the group stage as top team with two wins and despite their progress being slowed up by St Mary's School, Washington, the least experienced team involved in a goalless match. After initial defeat to Storrington, Thakeham Primary School picked up the pace with two conclusive wins in their other matches to set up a final of the big two. Thakeham applied strong pressure in the final but a Storrington counter-attack saw them score the decisive goal. Well done also to the West Chiltington and St Mary's Washington teams for competing with such enthusiasm on the afternoon, the former of the two winning the third place play-off with a single goal.
