50 primary school children in school years 3+4 took part in a badminton skills festival on Tuesday at Collyer's Sixth Form College. Southwater Junior Academy, Northolmes and Holbrook each brought 10 children and Kingslea brought 20. After an opening all group warm-up children split into groups of five and undertook a carousel of 10 skill stations. After that the fives were combined into tens to go around another five stations. Then it was a few fun games and proceedings finished up with the Horsham Performance Centre coaches giving a demo of high level play before encouraging youngsters to follow-up their enthusiasm by coming down to their programme at The Bridge.

The children were wonderfully behaved and focussed and superbly marshalled by the Collyer's sports leaders. A great afternoon of fun and skills development.
