Warnham School is assured of promotion from the netball B division to the A division in Phase 2 after Christmas after another two faultless displays in the second meeting on Wednesday at Collyer’s. Play went indoors on a night of wet weather but although matches were only half as long as a consequence of having to play on one court that didn’t stop them racking up a 7-1 win against St Andrew’s B, fellow leaders of the table at the start of the night, and 4-0 against a useful Plaistow and Kirdford outfit.

Heron Way was the night’s other high performing side. They stormed into second spot courtesy of two confident 4-0 wins of their own at the expense of All Saints A and Greenway B. Greenway B remain winless but fought gamely, restricting a much taller Plaistow/Kirdford team to just 2-0 in their other match. All Saints fought back from their early reverse to the Herons by completing St Andrew’s’ miserable evening with a 2-0 scoreline.
