West Sussex County Council are searching for a Local Offer Officer to help West Sussex County Council’s SEND Information, Advice and Support Service champion the West Sussex Local Offer to parents, young people and professionals. The Local Offer Officer focuses on the development and maintenance of the Local Offer website, providing clear and accessible information for children and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities age 0-25 and their families about the services and support available to them.
They are looking for candidates with creativity and excellent communication skills, along with the ability to work in partnership with local providers and stakeholders, to maintain comprehensive information on our Local Offer to serve the needs of West Sussex families. The role will require a good working level of IT skills to maintain website content, promotion through social media campaigns and other marketing activities. You will be given specific training on administration of the Local Offer website.
The successful candidate will ideally have an understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disability, and be willing to develop any knowledge by engaging with those that would benefit from accessing information on the Local Offer.
